Thinking how we all really need to be creating and imagining right now. Different ways of being. Different solutions to the problems we face.
The key about creation we often forget is we start at the beginning – the beginning is not the final piece, the beginning is an empty moon waiting to be filled — answers that work and answers that fail, the important thing is to take action and discover. That’s part of what the beginning is.

I share my art in part to show my process to those who see my posts. It’s a process that belongs to all of us – not just a talented few.
I firmly believe that we all have the most tremendous gifts inside us, for many of us those gifts are not yet unlocked but remain stuck inside.
It can be very hard sometimes to create. It can be very intimidating. It can be a portal into self-hate and self-loathing, the dream killers within (thank you Meg!).
I committed to myself and my dreams at the start of this year, and part of those dreams include illustration. And part of that commitment is to not look away. To not stop. To know sometimes it will be really uncomfortable. Sometimes it has been terrifying however irrational it may seem.
But that should not stop us. We must move through the fear.
I have observed how so many of us have built-in a ring of distortion when looking at ourselves. It’s the anorexia complex but much broader – the voice within that says we do is ugly, what we do is ugly, that we have to be Right to have value. And it’s a total lie!!!
This distortion ring is put into us by our culture. It’s put into us by a fear machine that wants us to doubt ourselves, a fear machine that wants us to be far too busy thinking we are inept and failing so we don’t look at it straight in the face and say: NO MORE. NO MORE DREAM KILLING. NO MORE SELF-DOUBT. NO MORE GIVING UP OUR POWERS TO INVISIBLE FORCES. NO MORE. We all have inalienable rights to create and discover. Inalienable right to take up space. Inalienable right to share and connect. We are all sacred.
