Culture teaches us to compare ourselves to others, which immediately puts our reference point outside of ourselves, and we are no longer centered in our self. We are taught in fact that it is wrong to be centered in our self, i.e. being self-centered. So if true to our cultural training, we are at a distinct disadvantage in ever expressing ourselves, who we truly are.

Part of our crisis as we face 2020 in the United States is this injustices against the holy, for each of us indeed is holy. We must learn collaboration that is authentic and to be strong and courageous enough to navigate when storms blow and discomfort arises from our own behavior or the behavior of others we admire and love.

Each of us is as brilliant and unique as the stars we hail from. A brilliance that is our birth rite and in fact our responsibility to shine as we are present to the times we are in, in the gross conscious injustices some of which we are complicit in. I welcome in 2020. Much love to all of you. May we remember who we are and find our way home.
